Privacy policy
Version v1.1.0 · Last updated: 10/30/2026
What this policy covers
This policy explains the information Perfume Point processes when you use the website, place an order, or contact us; why it is needed; who may need access to it; and the choices available to you.
Data controller
The controller for information processed through this website is **Perfume Point**, with its official address at **Mahmoud El Habrouk St.**. For privacy requests, contact us through WhatsApp at `+201016395027` or the contact form. No official support email is currently approved.
Information we may collect
- Contact details, including your name, phone number, and email address if you provide one.
- Delivery details, such as governorate, city or district, area, street address, and the information needed to reach the destination.
- Order details, including products, quantities, prices, payment and delivery choices, order status, and notes you submit.
- An InstaPay transfer proof if you choose that method, together with its review status and transaction reference once approved.
- Messages submitted through the contact form, the inquiry type, and an order number if you add one.
- Consent records for optional services, such as a newsletter if it is enabled and you actively subscribe.
- Limited technical data needed to operate the site and prevent misuse, such as session identifiers, request records, rate-limit records, and derived connection values where applied.
- Analytics or advertising data only when those tools are enabled and you select “Accept” in the privacy banner. They remain off if you decline or do not consent.
Why we use it
- To create, fulfil, and follow up on orders.
- To calculate delivery, validate the address, and process the selected payment method.
- To review InstaPay evidence. Uploading a proof does not by itself confirm payment.
- To answer questions, provide support, and handle eligible return or exchange requests.
- To protect the website, limit repeated submissions, and investigate errors or misuse.
- To meet accounting, operational, or legal record-keeping duties.
- To send optional communications only after clear consent, with a way to withdraw that consent when the service is enabled.
When information may be shared
We do not sell your information. We may share only what is necessary with a delivery provider, technical service provider, or another party helping fulfil the order, and with competent authorities when required by law. Internal access is limited to roles that need the information for their work.
Payment proofs
InstaPay proofs are private files used for internal review and for matching a transfer to an order. They are not displayed publicly, and receiving a file does not change the payment status to “Paid” before review.
Cookies and measurement tools
The website uses files needed for core functions and basic preferences. Optional analytics and advertising tools load only after consent when they are enabled. You can decline and continue using the site, and later change your choice through the privacy-preference control. Refusing optional tools is not a condition of purchase.
Newsletter and optional communications
Subscription is optional and is not required to purchase. When you subscribe, we record the email address, the name if supplied, the consent wording and version, submission time, locale, and form source to the extent needed to demonstrate the choice. The address is not used for this purpose unless the consent box is actively selected. You may withdraw at any time through an unsubscribe control when sending is enabled, or through WhatsApp or the contact form. Withdrawal stops future messages while the minimum record needed to prove and action the request may be retained.
Automated suggestions
Find Your Perfume uses your answers to rank product suggestions under the service rules. It does not make a legal or financial decision about you and does not guarantee that a particular product will suit you. You may ignore the result and browse the shop directly.
Service providers and transfers
We may use hosting, delivery, or technical providers to process the minimum information needed to operate the site and fulfil orders. If operation requires processing or transfer outside Egypt, it will take place only under the controls, approvals, and safeguards required by applicable law.
Retention
We apply the following maximum operating periods, unless law or an open dispute requires longer:
- Order, delivery, payment, return, and refund records: five years from closure of the transaction.
- Original InstaPay proof image: 12 months after the order is settled; the image is then deleted while the transaction record remains with the order record for five years.
- Contact and support messages not linked to an order: 12 months after the inquiry is closed.
- Incomplete forms and abandoned orders, where stored: 90 days.
- Security, sign-in-attempt, and technical error logs: 180 days.
- Backups containing deleted data: aged out of the backup cycle within no more than 30 days.
- Optional marketing data, if that service is enabled: until consent is withdrawn or after 24 months without engagement, whichever comes first.
If a dispute, complaint, investigation, or legal duty is open, only the necessary information is kept until it closes, after which it is deleted or de-identified as appropriate.
Your choices and requests
Within the rights provided by applicable law, you may request information about and access to your data, correction or updating, deletion where it is no longer required, objection to or restriction of specific processing, and withdrawal of consent for optional communications. Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate processing that was lawful before it. You may also complain to the competent authority. Send a request through WhatsApp at `+201016395027` or the contact form. We may request enough information to verify identity and protect the data from unauthorised requests. We respond and act within the applicable legal periods.
Changes and contact
This policy may change if the website or its services change. The approved policy page will display its version and last update. For privacy questions, use WhatsApp or the contact form; no support email is currently approved.
